We seek to make our worship experience welcoming, meaningful, and fun for everyone who attends. You won’t have to do anything you don’t want, and we promise not to make you feel uncomfortable.
As our service begins, we are led in song by our Praise Team. The congregation joins in with singing, clapping, listening or just sitting back enjoying the presence of God through song.
Following the singing, first time visitors are acknowledged and greeted by the Pastor, First Lady Vincent E. Teague and entire NBC congregation.
Pastor then gives a word from God through teachings from the Bible that give us a lesson we can apply to our daily lives.
Our service ends with an invitation for anyone to come to the altar and receive prayer from our prayer team. The altar workers at the front of the church will pray with you for any need that you may have.
We are not a formal church, so we invite you to come as you are. If you are a little late or need to make a quick exit, you won’t feel embarrassed.
It can be daunting looking for a new church, or coming to a church for the first time but we understand and are glad to have you with us!
What We Believe
To introduce individuals and families to God and His love through ministering the Word of God in our worship services, community events or a personal “one on one” conversation. It is our prayer to reach the community for Christ so that God’s Spirit will be imparted to all. This is a place of refuge, healing, deliverance and salvation for the spiritually damaged. This ministry is for all people from all backgrounds, all heritages and all ages. As Disciples of Christ we strive to become strong in our faith by seeking and yielding to the perfect plan of God through the Word of God.
Through the use of our divine infrastructure, effectively assist the Disciples of Christ to become spiritually mature, discover their God given purpose, their spiritual gifts and special talents. Upon the Pastor’s recognition of spiritual growth, Christians of all ages will be empowered to exercise their spiritual gifts and specific ministries as they participate in worship services, prayer, biblical instruction and godly fellowship. We are committed to reaching our neighborhoods and city via mass communication such as Television, Radio and Door to Door witnessing.
“Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matt. 28:19-20). With this charge, we as a ministry with purpose say YES LORD!
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18
Making Your Connection @ NBC!
Your first step is simple: once a month we have a short “Meet and Greet” reception for all first time visitors.
We want you to come to our Biblical Components.
Sunday mornings at 10:00am is our Sunday School. On Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm is our Bible Study.
During these sessions, we provide classes for all ages and your children are invited to be a part or our youth ministry!
This gives newcomers a chance to learn more about what we believe and how our church operates.
The next step is really up to you. When you feel the time is right and the question is asked “is there anyone who would like to become a part of NBC”, all you have to do is just walk toward the Pastor and he will take if from there.
Maybe you really don’t know much about God or the church. If not then take part in the New Member Class where Christian basics are discussed in a simple to understand, non-threatening way. Please know that God has gifted you to serve in a very unique manner.
Again, Welcome Home!
